I am also experiencing a similar issue on a MSI Wind U100 running Ubuntu Lucid
10.04:
Whenever I plug OUT the power cord I get a notification stating that my power
is critically low (2 minutes remaining) and then the machine hibernates. When
resuming the battery applet says I have enough power
Setting this bug report as Confirmed. This behavior appears to happen
for a variety of different hardwares.

I have the same issue on a Dell Inspiron 1501. Running Krappy-Koala.
Battery does not have to be near empty and it doesn't happen every time.
This machine fails to resume from hibernation ever since upgrade to
Krappy-Koala.
