This is very similar to bug #454297.
The only difference I have is that nautilus can sometime view some of the files
as well as none of the files.
Also this is for amd64 and not i386.
Do you want me to reproduce and video or are you happy this is
duplicate?

Is there something these folders have in common? E.g. do they have many
files, or files of a specific type? Does it only happen in a certain
view mode? I'm not a nautilus programmer, but I guess such info would
help.

My folders all contain audio and video files but the folders are not
exceptionally large (only 4 files totalling 3gb in one case)

the whole content of the folder. Sometimes I see nothing, sometimes only a part
of the content. It can happen when I drag and drop only one photo or something.

KDE session and accessed the problem folders without any issues so it
