Evolution is deleting messages immediately in spite of delete messages after
30 days option
Are you accessing your mail account via POP? If so, the first computer
to connect will download your new emails and (by default) delete them
from the server, thus preventing any other computers from receiving
them.
There should be an option in the mail account settings to Leave
messages on server
