from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please
feel free to reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could,
please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this

I'm literally experiencing the exact same thing in the exact same
environment as this bug's description: Automatic Contacts isn't working,
Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit, Intel Core 2 Duo, Evolution 2.28.1, Ubuntu One.

Thanks. On my system evolution will not add a new contact no matter
which address book backend I use. Not sure why. It's a fresh install,
and I have not imported any old settings.

I just checked again, and Automatic Contacts now works with the
Personal address book. It was not working earlier, however.
The Ubuntu One backend is still not working.
