I am using ubuntu 9.10 "the karmic koala" with gnome version 2.28.1 on a
laptop asus f8vr with intel core 2 duo p8600 cpu 2,4 ghz with 3 gb ram.
i cannot hear any sound from loudspeakers in any case.
i have had the same problem 1 year ago with ubuntu 8.10 kernel linux
2.6.27-9-generic with gnome 2.24.1,but after it was solved by updating os some
time after i reported the bug รง now i have the same problem again !
