Now I'm on Feisty, and haven't yet tried to create a new cd, but I've noticed
that checking/unchecking the two seconds gap in the preferences does
not decrease/increase the remaining time in the main window. Is this right?

It's what I expected but the fact it doesn't update is a known bug.
If previously you had 16 seconds spare and 18 tracks, with a 2 second
gap enabled then it would require 34 seconds spare on the cd not 16.
Amos: Did you Add two seconds gap between tracks checked in
preferences?

Yes, the issue still needs investigation. But, since I'm hacking on
Serpentine again, I'll probably understand the state of the situation in
a near future.
