This isn't a gnome-control-center issue. Either gnome-settings-daemon
shouldn't spawn syndaemon if the touchpad was disabled, or syndaemon
shouldn't re-enable the touchpad after you stop typing (which would be a
xserver-xorg-input-synaptics bug)
