Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
After playing a few songs, Rhythmbox goes silent or freezes due to a Gstreamer error. I usually have to manually kill the application and restart it to listen to music again. Please note: I used the "Report a problem" function in Rhythmbox but maybe this should be filed as as Gstreamer bug, I hope someone can shed some light on this. Here's the output from Rhythmbox - I think the last two lines are the relevant ones. pe...@peter-laptop:~$ rhythmbox ** (rhythmbox:3886): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (rhythmbox:3886): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (rhythmbox:3886): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (rhythmbox:3886): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (rhythmbox:3886): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (rhythmbox:3886): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed (rhythmbox:3886): GStreamer-WARNING **: Element bin2 already has parent (rhythmbox:3886): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_str_has_prefix: assertion `str != NULL' failed ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Jan 3 12:08:02 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/rhythmbox InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) Package: rhythmbox 0.12.5-0ubuntu5 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-9.152-rt SourcePackage: rhythmbox Uname: Linux 2.6.31-9-rt x86_64 ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- Rhythmbox goes silent or freezes unpredictably (Gstreamer pad error) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/502570 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
