It's not really an issue anymore:
- nautilus does not display anything about this encrypted partition (There's
nothing in /etc/fstab, maybe that's the reason)
- to mount it, I use pmount /dev/sda8, which works fine on condition to add
/dev/sda8 in /etc/pmount.allow
Si I've created a launcher
thank you for the update, closing the bug since it seems to be obsolete
now

Hi,
I've just created a luks partitition - can you tell me what you have in your
fstab and crypttab ? Then I can see if I see the same thing.

You received this bug notification because
I'm sorry, but this was a long time ago, and I'm now using edgy. In the
present case, the disk mounter applet does not display anything about
the encrypted partition, and I mount it using:
pmount /dev/sda6 private
this mounts the device in /media/private.
To answer your question, the fstab does
... and nothing in /etc/crypttab either.

setting back to unconfirmed, maybe somebody using luks partitions is
wanting to pick that bug and look on the issue

Disk mount applet can not mount a luks encrypted partition
In nautilus, the 2G volume appears in the left column (in 'Places') but
clicking (or double-clicking) on it does not produce result.
I also posted a bug about the disks manager (#50538) which may be
related to this issue.
