The same for Maverick (netbook edition at least). I think this is the
default behavior before gnome-power-manager kicks in with your settings
(where you can set it to just Blank the screen when you are on AC).

apport information

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I have a Toshiba Tecra M9 (although I think the make and model are
irrelevant) and I'm finding that when I close the lid, even with the AC
power plugged in the laptop
FWIW, I just confirmed that this is happening in Lucid also. I closed
the lid (before logging in to the desktop) right before I collected this
information in fact and it suspended.

You received this
Pedro,
I can, but it will have to wait for a reboot since the CurrentDmesg
portion contains data pertinent to the corporate network that I cannot
allow to be made public. This of course goes back to my long-standing
bug about allowing a user to edit the apport collected data before it's
sent to
I just logged into gnome and closed the lid and it didn't suspend, so
this appears to only be an issue when not logged in.
Any ideas?
