Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp
2 days ago after updating ubuntu using the update manager i noticed that my laptop screen was darker than usual and filckering a bit when i would have it on battery power but worked fine on AC power. On battery power yesterday the screen died randomly. It came back when i open and close the laptop screen for a few seconds and would die again and it came back when i connected to AC power but that wont work anymore either. I decreased the brightness through power management and that helped at first but then the screen started crashing again. Im wondering if this is a software issue or a hardware issue, most likely its hardware related but its weird that it happened right after i did an update.
