Public bug reported: Binary package hint: file-roller
When creating a 7z archive using file-roller, the temporary .7z.tmp file is created in the source directory, instead of the target directory as with other formats like .tar.gz. This is problematic when the source and target directories are on different partitions. The source may not have enough free space and in any case this results in extra copying. I imagine it would be even more annoying with a network share. 7z/7za from the command line does not have this problem.
