Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

Contrary to http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/desktop-
discuss/2009-August/013698.html, when .face images are removed from
/home, the corresponding /var/cache/gdm/$USER/face file is not removed.
This leaves the old GDM face image lying around as the user's face in
the face browser (and other GDM applications).

>From the link,
"The cache will be kept in sync. If the user removes their $HOME/.face,
then the version in the cache would be removed and they would no longer
see their image in the face browser."

** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
