Title:
Sleep button on Thinkpad T61 does not work with
Unloading module thinkpad_acpi from kernel (modprobe -r thinkpad_acpi)
fixes this problem = sleep button works, but many other are not
functional.
Can it be bug in thinkpad_acpi? Because I am kubuntu user (with R61i),
so I dont think this bug is related to gnome powermanager.
PS: it is present
This problem also affects the T60p Thinkpad.

I was little playing with acpi_listen program, which shows received key
events. I found out, that Fn+F4 event is received only one time per 60
second = quiet strange. Also it seems, that no action script was
invoked, even when acpi_listen showed event.
Any idea, what package/program/system
I'm actually using ubuntu with a different wm, ratpoison. The sleep
button doesn't work, but it does if I run `gnome-power-preferences`. Is
there a way to trigger those power settings on when my wm starts without
opening the the preferences menu? Or is there a better solution for
that?

I am also using kubuntu (lucid) on thinkpad R61i - It does not seems to
be related to gnome-power-manager.
I played with acpi configuration, and it looks like there are no fn+f4
events received by acpid - or their code has changed.

I don't use Gnome, I use Kubuntu, so I assume it's a generic acpi
problem. Is the transfer to gnome-power-manager justified, if it affects
Kubuntu users like me?
