I am only concerned because one PC did not require me to mount the drive first while the second PC required me to mount the drive. The simplicity of Ubuntu (Not having to go to the terminal as often as some of the other Linux releases) is one of it's outstanding traits. -- all mp3 songs removed

Yes, you are correct. With the last install of Rhythmbox in Jaunty I did not have to mount the drive that the MP3s were on before using Rythmbox. Since I switched PCs, and reinstalled Jaunty on the new PC, I now have to mount the drive to keep the song list intact... or explained another way, I

If I mount the drive BEFORE going into the rhythmbox music player, it does not empty the que. With the Ubuntu build on my old PC, I did not have to mount the drive before starting the player, thus this report. -- all mp3 songs removed from que on start of music player
