Sebastien, I have confirmed that the new version of gtksourceview2 in lucid-proposed does indeed fix this bug. Thanks! To be more explicit, the lucid-proposed contains both an update for gedit and an update for gtksourceview2. I only installed the gtksourceview2 update, and the problem with
