Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-media
I'm running on an Inspiron 9400 laptop. In both Ubuntu 10.04beta and 9.10, when I attempt to shift my volume, the first two "notches" are completely muted, and any level after that, the sound is completely cranked. I'm hoping this can be fixed as I do not wish to damage my speakers due to this frustrating and persistent bug.
