Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Every system that I'm running has the list of available resolutions
capped at a ridiculously small and outdated maximum.

On my laptop with intel video, it's 800x600, yet when the same 19" CRT
is hooked up to one of my desktops with a vanta in it, the maximum is
1024x768.

Both of these maximum options are obviously wrong as I have operated
this monitor with both of these machines (and others) at significantly
higher desktop resolutions.

I hope this bug gets some attention as I feel it is somewhat severe and
will result in a lot of bad impressions about Ubuntu considering this
hasn't been a problem in the past.

(I also wish we'd stop breaking things that have been working for ages
with each release)
