Still only partially rendered with Ubuntu 10.10 RC.
Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic i686
Packages:

poppler 0.14.3-0ubuntu1
I have poppler-data installed.
Selecting all will temporarily show all the text in reverse video.

evince is not able to render PDF
I'm having a similar issue with a Mac/OSX generated PDF file. It will
display in Okular and xpdf. Uploading to Scribd also displays the file
correctly. Evince will not display the text. Images and formatting marks
display correctly, but the text is not rendered at all.
Lucid 10.04
uname Linux
I've confirmed that Okular on Lucid shows the PDF correctly (i.e. not
blank). So this is most likely a bug with Evince and not Poppler.
