Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
This is a feature request. Currently, the size of the terminal is always 80x24 on startup. It can be changed by resizing the window or by selecting another size via the terminal menu. But these changes are not stored, on the next startup, it will load with the old size. I propose, that if the size is selected via the terminal, it becomes the new default size. If you change the window size, it changes the terminal size for this session only. It can't be configurable via the profile, since you may have different tabs with different profiles.
