Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

the audio preview feature in nautilus starts automatically if there is
an audio file in the exact spot the mouse rests when the system is
booted.

expected behaviour: audio preview should not begin till the mouse has
been manually hovered over an audio file.

to reproduce this you may need to set gnome to log in automatically -
you will also need an audio file to be placed in the middle of the
screen, where the mouse defaults. in this instance, the file name of my
audio file was very long, the pointer rested over the filename at boot
up, which then began to play.
