This seems to be happening to me after being in an away/busy status for
an unknown amount of time. Usually, I will leave the PC to idle and when
I return, every account goes back to Available except MSN, which does
not seem to respond to status changes anymore afterwards. Killing
.xsession-errors does not seem to contain any messages regarding Empathy
or telepathy-butterfly.

Just saw it again. I think it may be related to disconnecting without
logging out of messaging first. Again, I'm fully updated, so that's not
the problem.
This is only an MSN problem, not facebook.

I cannot confirm this now but I have seen this a while ago. This maybe
caused by the relevant telepathy component not being killed during that
instant. Logout or reboot should certainly fix this problem.
