That configuration dialog is deprecated in GNOME3 and Oneiric so closing
the bug, feel free to open new bugs about other issues you might find

The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it
could send the bug the to the people writting the software

Indeed, it seems that the themes don't have Pointer associated. They have
Controls, Colors, Windows Border, Icon.
Now I see other issues.
Lucid:
When you click on a Theme, it is applied immediately (Controls, Colors, Windows
Border, Icon).
When you click Customize... and change any of these (
could you give an example of theme which has pointer associated to it
too?

System -> Preferences -> Appearance
Theme tab
Click on some of them.
Mouse pointer changes to the Default pointer, not to the one associated to the
Theme.
Then click on Customize...
Pointer tab
Change the pointer to anyone but the one that is selected.

are switching if that's desktop themes or cursor themes what you
consider buggy, could you explain it clearly again saying what you
