my .local/share/Empathy does not disobey any of this two points with
empathy 2.30 in Lucid so I will consider this bug is already fixed so
will mark this invalid

.local/share/Empathy or .local/share/empathy? Reading your answer it
seems to be the former, but your comment says otherwise.

Can you re-open the bug please, Linux ain't not Mac and Windows. The
naming convention is
Title in minuscule letters
Title with no space
/Empathy = /empathy
Why should be empathy one of the only software bringing confusion in the
user's local profile.
