Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
We use our home computer with multiple users. Initially user switching works fine. But then it stops working. When trying to switch to a different users (from the screen to unlock a user) only an Ubuntu Logo is displayed and the computer name. Also trying to login as a user who was not logged on again is not working. When selecting a user from the 'powerof menu', the same unusable screen is shown. using a cntrl-alt-F1, cntrl-alt-F7, cntrl-alt-F8,... can bring us back to the needed user login screen. But it is not possible to show the normal Ubuntu login screen (which is difficult to explain to my wife and children). Expected fix: when switching users, the overview of all computer users is displayed.
