Ok, I now understand how the "ding" and "african dums" sounds can
currently be enabled/disabled

So I confirm my opinion : the user expects to find all sounds settings
in the "Sound Preferences", even the "ding" one. So n

indeed I was originally talking about both sounds. (that I used to mute
by setting my sound volume to mute before shutting down the computer).
But after checking :
- I don't have any more the music on session start (don't know why -> I will
check more), even if System => Administrat

thank you for your bug report, where do you set to "no sound", the sound
theme? what do you call login sound? the ding played when the gdm login
screen is ready? or the sound playing on session start after entering
your login informations?
