These are actually two entirely different bugs: one is that hibernation does not work (doesn't work for me with my nvidia card either, FWIW), the other is that hal does not start. Does the hal problem occur only after resuming from hibernate or right after a fresh boot? Can you get a hal

I'm afraid to say, trouble is back and worse. I can only see this problem as the cause. -Since hibenation worked I continued using it, untill the last time, the error message returned. Since all progrmams worked I ignored it. I did a liitle work, even changing users showed no problems. But then
