Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

I am using Sony Vaio VPCF12Z1E - Ubuntu 10.10 Alpha 3 - 2.6.36RC3 kernel
Under Hardware tab I have two devices displayed:
1. High Definition Audio Controller
2. Internal Audio
Every thing works when I select "Internal Audio Analog Stereo" in input tab and
"Internal Audio Analog Stereo" + Connecter "Analog Speakers" in output tab.

But when I reboot - My radio box selections of device are reset in Sound
Preferences - No selection in Input tab and "High Definition Audio
controller Digital Stereo (HDMI)" is selected in output tab - and my mic
and speakers do not work.

Also the master volume goes back to 0 on reboot.

Every time I reboot I have to reset these selections and increase the
master volume using alsamixer.
