Gaim crashes in the same gnutls bits in bug 51272. We can't rule out
breakage in gnutls.

Hmm, the evolution-exchange backend gets started when I log in, so I
just attached to it using gdb. I hope this is OK.

Thank you for the work on that. It looks like the issue might be due to libsoup
or gnutls, could you install libsoup2.2-8-dbgsym (it should be available
tomorrow) and libgnutls13-dbg and get a new backtrace with gdb:
gdb evolution-exchange
(gdb) run
After that we should have all the required
Can you get the debug symbols of evolution-data-server too and try
again?

Well,
I installed debug versions of evolution-exchange-server, libc6-i686 and
others, and got the attached backtrace by hand. I'm really not sure if
this is the same, because it didn't seem to crash instantaneously with
the new packages.
(At least this one doesn't seem to be an
PS. Makes evolution completely unusable for me.

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Maybe you could
get a backtrace with a debug build of evolution-exchange? Does evolution
crash too or it's unusable an another way or that's because you use it
only for with an exchange server?
** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu)
I'm running the latest edgy.
I've installed evolution-dbg and evolution-data-server-dbg. What's the
easiest way to get the exchange backend with debug symbols? Hand-compile
from source?
It's unusable just 'cos I use only exchange, sorry for being ambiguous.

There's -dbgsym packages for evolution, evolution-data-server and
evolution-plugins, but not for evolution-exchange.
