Hi, it doesn't work too. The output is: $ unzip Provà.zip Archive: Provà.zip error: cannot create Prov.txt Thanks 2007/2/5, Sebastien Bacher [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Does doing an unzip from that file from the command line on the cifs directory works fine? ** Changed in: file-roller (Ubuntu)

extracting that file works fine on my feisty desktop. What error do you get? The filename is not correct but that's because the encoding is not UTF-8, not a file-roller bug -- can't extract files with accents https://launchpad.net/bugs/63778 -- desktop-bugs mailing list

Hi Daniel, file-roller doesn't crash. It happens with a zip file with files with accents into it. If I create the file with file-roller it doesn't fail. It happens when the zip file is created with windows. (I've tried with a file created from WinXP and IzArc ) Thanks Cesc On 10/31/06, Daniel

Does using unzip work on it? I'm sure there's another encoding related file-roller bug somewhere. Does file-roller crash? ** Changed in: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs -- can't extract files with accents

I'm not able to reproduce the bug. You should create a new archive (with file roller and with zip utility too) which contains files with an accent in their names. Now you should try if these archives are affected too. ** Changed in: file-roller (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info --
