Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Release: 10.04 gdm: Installed: 2.30.2.is.2.30.0-0ubuntu3 Candidate: 2.30.2.is.2.30.0-0ubuntu3 Version table: *** 2.30.2.is.2.30.0-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.30.0-0ubuntu5 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages I have notices two misfeature's in the Alarm Clock panel applet 1. When a periodic alarm fires, the manager continues to show the countdown of the next occurrence of that alarm. It should move on to the next alarm with the least time left. 2. If you press the edit button, and no alarm is selected, it converts to add. It should simply ignore the button if no alarm is selected or ask the user which one he wants to edit. I would prefer a simple ignore (exit from the button routine). These are easy to work around, but they are slightly annoying. A simple search of the list would solve item 1 and a simple if statement would fix item 2. I am sure that we all want this operating system to be the best around, and it very nearly is.
