I've tried with a daily CD yesterday, that works fine. You are using
1.9.5.1, the bug is supposed to be fixed since 1.9.7 so that's normal
you still get the issue. Marking as duplicate of bug #59690, feel free
to reopen if you still have the issue with

I just downloaded Edgy's AMD64 desktop .ISO and I'm currently using it.
Rocko's post is correct: The gateway address doesn't get stored (I'm
currently browsing through DHCP, sub-sloth speed...).
The version of system-tools-backends that's in these .ISOs with Edgy

That bug is supposed to be fixed with 1.9.7. If you have it, did you
restart your session or dbus since you installed it?
