issue (or rather an issue of changed configuration).
I am closing this as invalid.

Would appear the procedure for disabling the ssh component of gnome-
keyring has changed, from the Gnome site:-
Use the Startup Applications capplet (ie: gnome-session-properties) and
disable the SSH Key Agent startup program.

Rebuilding the gnome-keyring package with --disable-ssh-support fixes
the problem, but that probably not a definitive solution for everyone.
