More info as I can reproduce this bug. Workarounds on adjusting
brightness via writing values to /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness
works though.

The second set of reports have been uploaded while the problem was being
reproduced. As you see, the system itself works fine i.e. all processing
continues to happen and only the keyboard freezes up. Even the screen,
as it is, updates correctly. Its like the Fn key, or the key combo is

Sure, just did that, but I don't know if the bug report is being
attached properly. I did get a send report popup, but I don't know what
happened after that. I will do the same thing again reproducing the
