Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

When gnome-terminal is given a --geometry with a height (number of
lines) greater than 49, it will always create a window that is 49 lines
tall. Sizes below this are honored, but 49 and anything over that
results in a window that is 49 lines tall. I have plenty of room for a
taller window: the screen has a height of 1200 pixels, and I can
manually resize gnome-terminal windows to 64 lines. But the equivalent
--geometry option (either "--geometry 80x64" or "--geometry=80x64")
result in a 80x49 window.
