Dapper to Edgy. AFAICT my hardware (ATi Mobility Radeon X1300) doesn't support
Option VideoOverlay on
with the fglrx drivers packaged with Edgy (it won't do acceleration when you
have it on). So I can't use that
But did you tried Option OpenGLOverlay off? I think that's the
point...
Currently the fglrx driver doesn't support Xv for xorg 7.1 but that is
another problem.
Did you search the forum for your acceleration issue? Perhaps you you
missed the Composite disable entry you have to add to your
Ah, ok that works. The acceleration issue I mentioned is just it
complaining about not supporting Xv if you try to enable it.

Hi there, I seemed to have had the same problem. I tried the two
solutions provided before, but they did not work. I notice from your
xorg.conf that you are using fglrx, so am I. I think that changing the
following lines
Option VideoOverlay off
Option OpenGLOverlay on
Thanks for your bug report. Do you have anything interesting in
~/.xsession-errors? Can you try to make a backtrace of gnome-
screensaver?

OK, this was the first time I did a backtrace but it seems not to work
(the appropriate gdbsym package was installed before):

The 'wacom' section in xorg.conf was causing trouble for others. You could try
to
* make a backup of /etx/X11/xorg.conf
* comment out the complete section and
* restart X
