Would it not be better to add an additional gconf-key to enable the additional margin in Unity instead of hard-coding it into the binary? Or maybe a new startup option which only Unity calls (Like --unity-mode)? Or maybe Nautilus should look for a variable like UNITY_EXTRA_MARGIN or something

hey guys... As i recall.. sometime back... when the auto-hide was enabled in ccsm. unity plugin...the launcher panel would be hidden until moused over and the icons would shift position when it came out of auto-hide I may be remembering that wishfully. Most definitely a visual bug..
