This is still a bug in the X driver, because it advertises that it
handles XV, but actually doesn't, thereby confusing any media player
attempting to use it by default.

Unfortunately, the screenshot only shows a blue video... it is like
that, except the video is still showing in parts (exactly in the
position it would be if I wouldn't rotate the cube).
This is a shot of totem-xine actually, but it happens in both totem-xine
and totem-gstreamer. I'm adding a link
VLC shows the issue as well, but can be configured to use XVideo for
output, which makes it work as shown in the screenshot.

video.driver:xshm in ~/.xine/config or ~/.gnome2/totem_config.
