OK, I've check the values of the window size on one of my other machines
running Lucid. I could easily change the WIDTH of the main window below

The first start of Evolution was fine. At some point I increased the
width of the left side pane (folder bar). Now I have the problem that
the main windows does not fit anymore on my screen (1024x768). The

+1 for this one. A real problem on my daughter's eeepc 701 which has a
small screen which only goes to 800 pixels wide. This is a major
regression
