On older PC (Intel P4 2.8GHz, 1GB ram), I am seeing this lockup with
default settings.
Ubuntu 11.10, Unity-2D, latest patch/updates loaded.
Note: login screen (lightdm) is not susceptible to this issue.

Same with 10.04 on Extensa 5630.
Ctrl+Alt+F1 not working. Nothing useful in logs after restart. Completely
disabling screensaver helps.
Doesnt happen too often, to see if setting screensaver type to blank would help.
Happens with any type of screensavers (2D, 3D, default ones or added later).

I have this problem on my pc desktop with Ubuntu 11.04 with Unity and on an
Acer Extensa 5220e of my girlfriend with Ubuntu 11.04 with Unity.
