Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

Ubuntu 11.04, but it happened in 10.10 as well

The program loads properly from the command line. Its only when I try
and open a file that the CPU jupms -- and stays -- high. The page never
renders.

strace shows it stuck here:

poll([{fd=4, events=POLLIN}, {fd=6, events=POLLIN}, {fd=12, events=POLLIN},
{fd=3, events=POLLIN}, {fd=13, events=POLLIN}, {fd=22, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI},
{fd=24, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}, {fd=26, events=POLLIN|POLLPRI}], 8, 0) = 1
([{fd=26, revents=POLLHUP}])
read(6, 0x212ed2e8, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily
unavailable)

** Affects: evince (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
