well im using ubuntu 12.04 its still there i meen its just stupid in
the real world this is wrong .. well a CD doesnt say 730MB or something
is satys 700MB .. so just stupid why did they changed it in the first
place . is there a workaround to this .. now im thinking will this
get carried to

This is an issue for as well. Nautilus showing the size of a video file
as 730mb when I know it to be 700mb.

It seems like Nautilus used binary units (MiB) before but switched to
decimal units (MB) in Oneiric. Some translations (e.g. spanish) still
use MiB though, so the number and the units do not match in the
translated nautilus. So not a nautilus bug but a translation one.

instead of MB

what you get now is the real size, 1kb = 1000 bytes, it's a SI unit,
1kbi = 1024 bytes so your iso is 715MB or 682MBi, see

That is very confusing and problematic in work environments where reporting the
real size of files is important.
