Could you please let us know what type of account is being used for IMAP
in the Evolution settings? Is the account created with IMAP, or IMAP+
(imapx)?
I can't reproduce this issue with IMAP+; perhaps it's a valid workaround
for this issue.

to imap+/imapx the problem disappears; It is indeed a valid workaround.

I'm in the same situation, I've tried to create a new directory on imap server
using evolution, but the dialog window displays only local accounts.
My installation is on standard x86, so event the 32 bit version is affected.
