unfortunately, I always have this problem with drivers 285.05.09-0ubuntu0.1
(current update).
But I just noticed something. Currently I have this problem.
I have three nautilus' windows (also many other software(firefox,chromium,
netbeans etc) open and nautilus menus appear well.
My system is
If you press alt+f2 and enter killall nautilus, then the problem
should go away.

the command line with nautilus-q. Effectively the problem disappears
but then reappears after a period of time

I still had the problem today with the latest version of nautilus present in
the Proposed repositories.
I make the same comments as Jo-Erlend :
I haven't been able to reproduce it reliably, but it has happened several
times. Though it doesn't prove anything, it's only happened when I've had
I would like to add that menus are very slow to appear when I right
click on the toolbar breadcrumbs. All other menus work well, both in and
outside of Nautilus. Does Nautilus log things at all?

I too experience very -- very -- slow movement of windows. It is to the
point where the pointer looses grip of the window. I think this has
been reported in another bug, however. What makes you think they're
related issues? That would seem very strange to me, since they're
completely separate
Just because I feel that this bug appears exactly when the display becomes
slow. But indeed there can be no relationship, I just wanted to know.
For your other comments I will look if I am affected the same way when the bug
will occur again.

version 11.10 (bug) and the other with 11.04.

windows ans in a terminal I type nautilus-q. Then I raise nautilus
