You have been subscribed to a public bug: I am using Ubuntu 11.10, x64 bit. When I login, the icons, folders and files on the Desktop are all jumbled up , sit on top of each other and there is no uniformity . The desktop looks like a mess. This however, is easily fixed by hitting refresh (F5 ) or by selecting "organize desktop by name" from the right click options. I think this is a bug as we should not need to refresh . Ubuntu should automatically do it during logon.
Please see the attached screenshot for more clarity. The issue is visible in the highlighted areas. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete ** Tags: bot-comment nautilus-desktop-icons -- icons and folders are not organised on the Desktop on logon in Ubuntu 11.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/908855 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
