Public bug reported: When listening to vorbis variable bit rate live streams, after some minutes, I frequently experience dropouts (short periods of silence). It sounds just like buffer underruns. The banshee GUI displays "Buffering: 0.0%" all the time.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Listen to this live stream (by German radio station "Deutschlandfunk", a variable bit rate vorbis stream): http://www.dradio.de/streaming/dlf_hq_ogg.m3u 2. after some minutes (sooner or later), dropouts occur ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: libgstreamer0.10-0 0.10.35-1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-16.28-generic 3.0.17 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-16-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Feb 20 11:11:01 2012 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release amd64 (20110427.1) SourcePackage: gstreamer0.10 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-10-14 (128 days ago) ** Affects: gstreamer0.10 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug oneiric running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gstreamer0.10 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/936867 Title: Dropouts while listening to vorbis variable bit rate live stream To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gstreamer0.10/+bug/936867/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
