I have this problem in Dapper; here's a piece of info I haven't seen in
this thread:
It seems to be the case that the resizeability depends on the length of
the title of what is being played.
On this particulary (highly recommended, hehe) web radio stream, the
title is very long:

The problem seems to be there. I can't resize horizontally the window to
make it smaller. I can make it bigger, but no shorter.

I just booted the Ubuntu 7.04 Daily DVD 20070407 and no longer see this
issue on it. Horizontal resizing works for me now.

of the border to resize a window, you can use alt-left_click-dnd to move
it or right click on the titlebar

Same here, using Gnome and Metacity and couldn't resize the window
horizontally. Since a part of the window is not visible (too wide for
the screen actually), this shouldbe fix as soon as possible.

I use whatever window manager is the default in GNOME when booting the
Desktop CD for Ubuntu 7.04 Beta.
