Installed the system from kubuntu-7.04-beta-desktop-i386.iso then
updated it. The snapshot posted is a good representation the icon
problem I have with evolution.

I experience the same problem in Kubuntu, after doing a DistUpgrade to
Feisty.
Nearly all icons on toolbars, folders and in menus are gone.
