[Bug 49429] Opening links in Gaim always opens firefox regardless of preferred browser
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gaim Using Gaim 1.5 in Kubuntu Dapper. I want Gaim to open URLs in Konqueror. However, if I choose Konqueror, it will still open the URL with Firefox. If Firefox is not installed, Gaim will produce a pop up informing that it cannot find the 'firefox' executable, despite the fact that I have Konqueror selected. I can work around this with the Custom browser selection, but the fact that Gaim still opens firefox even when a non- custom, non-Firefox browser is selected is definately a bug. ** Affects: gaim (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Opening links in Gaim always opens firefox regardless of preferred browser https://launchpad.net/bugs/49429 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 49483] Re: rhythmbox close button should minimise to tray
interesting. if you uses the Music menu in Rhytmbox and select close, it does exactly what you want, but when you click the 'X' it quits. http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=156358 this link is pretty much the same exact thing you just asked too. I just found it searching the forums. A quick fix is to Music Close in the menu list, or you can simply press: Ctrl+W to close it to the system tray. If you see anything else or find out anything else please post it, maybe somebody will come by with a fix to this. -- rhythmbox close button should minimise to tray https://launchpad.net/bugs/49483 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 44101] Re: [Dapper] gnome-sound-properties always defaults to first card
I'm also experiencing this problem. I just upgraded to 6.06 LTS from 5.10 maybe a half hour ago using the Update Manager. Sound was working without a problem in 5.10. Now there's no sound. If I go to System - Preferences - Sound, my USB camera that has a microphone in it (Logitech QuickCam) is selected as Default sound card. There are three choices: 1. Camera 2. MPU-401 UART 3. NVidia nForce2 If I select the third option, I am able to click the play buttons next to each sound that has a value assigned to it (I have the ESD checkbox checked). Upon selection of the correct Default sound card option, the only choice I have is to click the Close button on the lower-right corner of the window. Following this, I am still unable to play sounds. When I open up the Sound Preferences window again, the Default sound card option is reset back to Camera. -- [Dapper] gnome-sound-properties always defaults to first card https://launchpad.net/bugs/44101 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 49417] Re: [Bug 49417] Re: [Bug 49417] Double-clicking a word processing document in Nautilus gives no result
Dennis Kaarsemaker a écrit ce qui suit, le 12/06/06 10:18 : OpenOffice.org2 does not exist in dapper. It's called OpenOffice.org. That's the point: ooo2 doesn't exist in Dapper but it appears above others in the Applications menu and it is the default application for ooo documents in Nautilus. After some research with Google, I found that the buggy /etc/gnome/defaults.list alias /usr/share/applications/defaults.list is the cause of the Nautilus bug. I could not find yet the buggy configuration file responsible for the menu bug but I corrected it through alacarte (after correcting first the smeg bug in the menus!). Launchpad doesn't seem to have voting ability like Bugzilla, so I will simply add my own /me too post. I didn't understand why the icon changed, the other one was clear and looked rather good. The new one is ambiguous at best, you -have- to hover over it to have any clue what it's talking about. I knew what the first one meant right away. Having to reboot should happen rarely enough in LTS (if ever?) that I don't think it's worth distinguishing them with a bad icon.
