Sorry, I meant to mention that. I use edgy, and one good example that
triggers it is compiz, another being cgwd, I know they are both
unsupported applications (at least the versions I run), but either way
they should not be able to trigger a crash in gnome-session-manager.
The best way I know of
I have retested it and now is quite different:
sometimes everything is black with no output (with no network activity)
some other times the error message is

Could not open location; You may not have permission to open
Does it happen if you click on the next button to reach the end of the
playlist or do you need to play everything before? Could you get a backtrace:
- run totem

... get it freezing, then look at gdb. If it crashed

I went through all the steps to install the debugging packages and guess
what - I can't reproduce it with those installed! Two double clicks
just gives two dialogs, as expected. When I restored the standard

I've now got a workaround:
Append '-l' to the umount command in /etc/security/pam_mount.conf. That
causes umount to remove the volume from the filesystem immediately and
unmount it properly when it is no longer busy (i.e. gconfd exits).

this is edgy (plugin never worked for me until now) and I don't see that
menu option.
I'm attaching an image via cnn (and the ms media player interface). The
only thing I can guess is that cnn tells it not to show it?

screensavers, so if I forget to deactivate screensaver when I boot

I also have this problem in edgy and it's much worse. I didn't even
notice the problem in dapper.
But now if I open a terminal, resize it and add two new tabs with CTRL-
SHIFT-T, then the second tab will enlarge the window horizontally.
Switch back to Tab 1 and the window is further enlarged
Interestingly the amount of the enlargement depends upon the amount of
resizing done beforehand.
Every tab switch adds the amount of rows and columns that the window has
more than the default (80x24 for me).

I am also having the same problem with both versions of GAIM (1.5.0 and
2.0 Beta3)
When the MSN account is disabled, the other messenger services have no

The problem that I saw is the the nautilus-cdburning process jast hangs when I
click 'burn'.
Also, when dragging files to the nautilus-cdburning files, they don't always
get copied over.

Open several programs (Evolution, gaim, firefox, etc...), and open
xchat.
Then scroll through those programs using Alt+Tab.
Often, I hardly notice the xchat icon.
Other white icons, such as the evolution icon, at least have a black
edge.

When looking up a word that doesn't exist in the dictionary that is
found under Applications/Accessories/Dictionary a dialog is opened. The
expected behavior is that there shouldn't be a dialog, since useless
dialogs are evil. Instead you could display the information in the
apt-cache policy

When I try to reorder the keyboard layouts in the Layouts tab of
Keyboard Preferences by dragging the layouts with the mouse nothing
happends. I expect to be able to reorder the layouts with by dragging
them. Now I have to use the silly up and down buttons next to the list.
